NEUROLOGIST is a physician who treats nervous system disorders that include diseases of the brain, spinal cord nerves and muscles.  Neurologist’s diagnosis of diseases are performed through neurological examination of the nerves of the head and neck muscles, strength and movement, balance, ambulation and reflexes and sensation, memory, speech, and language. They also perform diagnostic testing such as CAT (computed axial tomography), MRI/MRA (magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography, lumbar puncture (spine tap), EEG (electroencephalography) and EMG/NCV (electromyography/nerve conduction velocity).
